Dr. Whynot is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with interests in Bariatrics and Medical Informatics. He holds degrees from Boston College, Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nuclear Medicine, and the University of Massachusetts Medical Schools, and completed his residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston. He is a member of the American Bariatric Society and has practiced medicine in Boston and Hawaii for over 25 years. Dr. Morris is a Board Certified Internist and a Bariatric Physician. He graduated from George Washington University Medical School and was Assistant Professor of the Department of Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Washington University of Medicine. He has been practicing medicine in Alaska for over 30 years. Gerald Morris

Dr. Tice is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. A graduate of both Harvard and Columbia, he completed his residency at the Manhattan Veterans Administration Hospital and has since taught, consulted, and practiced across the US. For the last decade, he has been practicing in Honolulu, and has been honored by the Hawaiian House of Representatives for his work. A New Yorker, Meighan completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Manhattan College in 2006. After several years in the healthcare arena, she decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Physician Studies at State University of New York at Stony brook. Meighan, who has relatives on the North Shore of Oahu, moved to Hawaii to complete a rotation requirement in Pediatrics for her Masters Degree in 2010 and then worked in pain management in Ewa beach. She enjoys all of the outdoor activites that the islands offer and is trying to learn how to surf. Keela Stanley, PA-C

A recent import from the East Coast, Richard brings a lot of experience to IHWW's team. He currently also works at Queen's hospital in the ER, but Richard has previously worked as an EMT-Cardiac instructor, Neurosurical Physician Assistant, and a Trauma Physician Assistant. Richard attended Massachusettes College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA where he received his BS in Health Sciences and Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies. Richard is fluent in Spanish and speaks some japanese. Ed started with Alaska Premier Health in August 2006 as a Physician Assistant. He is originally from Baton Rouge, LA. Ed is a retired Army Captain with 20 years of active duty in the military. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Sally started with Alaska Premier Health in January 1995 as a Nurse Practitioner. She was born in Anchorage and graduated from UAA with a bachelor's and a master's in Nursing. She has been a Red Cross CPR / First Aid Instructor for 21 years. She is also a Heart Association instructor and an instructor for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Lindy Mapes is a 2008 graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She began working at Alaska Premier Health when it first opened in 1993 as a back office assistant and is now serving as the manager of IHWW. Lindy also works as a medical assistant and has been trained in a variety of diagnostic procedures. Lindy Mapes

Mahagoney Mckethan graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2005, earning her certificate in Medical Assisting. She has previously worked at Arizona Oncology (Cancer Center) and Sun Valley Medical (Internal Medicine) in Arizona. Mahagoney became an employee of Island Health Weight and Wellness the beginning of June 2011. She's currently back at school working to become a Physician Assistant. Laurie started with Island Health's sister clinic, Alaska Premier Health, in April 1993. She is a Certified Lifestyle Counselor who has extensive training from various weight loss specialty centers across the country, including the Cooper Institute in Dallas. Originally from Seattle, and a graduate of University of Washington School of Business, Laurie moved permanently to Alaska in 1982. She has a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Alaska Pacific University. Laurie Mapes

Christy received her medical assistant training from the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. She served five years including one deployment to Iraq. Christy became an employee of Island Health Weight and Wellness the beginning of January 2012. She is currently a student at Hawaii Pacific University, majoring in Health Science. She is working to become a Physician Assistant.
